The whole excursion was great. Loved the jusmping and swimming at the waterfalls. Coffee cacao and stone carvings were also very cool. DSRR Rosario bus rental provided amazing transportation to and from resort. Highly recommend.

Our driver, Jose, was awesome and very accommodating. Our guide was great too. The waterfalls were a fun adventure! We even met the owner of the company, who is a very nice man!

Rosario was a great host and he got us to the best tour guide, Micol(?) I really appreciated the smaller group. The cruise excursions went to the same place but cost more for a much bigger group. Our guide went above and beyond, climbing a tree for mangos and taking pictures and videos for us. The falls and forest are beautiful and this was a highlight of our trip!

This was so amazing. I'd do it again. I don't think the excursion description properly advises on the 30 minute hike before hand, which I LOVED, but please know that if you have bad knees, hips, or have a really hard time climbing stairs or rugged surfaces, you might not want to do this. Wearing proper shoes is SO important! The guides were humorous and helpful, they did a great job keeping our group together. It started to rain while we were hiking, making for a really magical scenery and experience. The waterfalls/caves were fun and physically challenging, you will have a life vest and helmet so at minimum you should be able to tread water. The food afterward was GREAT! OMG. There was a full lunch buffet and it did NOT disappoint. Afterward we were served drinks in a private van (free), taken to the chocolate & coffee tour, and served authentic mamajuana on our way back to the port. DO THIS EXCURSION it was AWESOME!

We were in Puerto Plata for a day on our Caribbean cruise. I had my eye on this excursion for months before due to the outstanding reviews, but actually only booked it at midnight the day before via WhatsApp with Jenny! Rosario was waiting for us outside Taino Bay port, we jumped in the van (which is very comfy and has an icebox filled with free booze and soft drinks) and headed to our first stop which was a coffee plantation. We got to see how it’s made and also tasted some hot chocolate! We then headed to the waterfalls, which was amazing! We had so much fun jumping off the falls and swimming down the canyons! We then headed to a restaurant on the way back for dinner, which was yummy! This was my favourite day of our whole cruise; it was so much fun and excellent value for money! Choose this over a commercialised, overpriced book-onboard tour to the falls; this is much more exclusive and intimate with only a few people on the tour as opposed to thousands of other cruise passengers! We were very tipsy upon returning to Taino Bay thanks to Rosario’s free Dominican rum and piña! Thank you so much!

Amazing rain forest adventure

Rosario and his photographer were absolutely fabulous. I felt safe, comfortable adventurous. I would recommend it to anyone. We went to a lovely local restaurant that only locals would know about and it was so good. I can’t tell you how wonderful they were strongly recommend them.

This was a tour to remember! Duran Duran and Juan, our tour guides, were great! It was a very active excursion, not meant for those that can't get around easily. My 15 year old son loved jumping off the platforms. Great tour for the adventurists!

A+++ experience! We were picked up at our hotel at the time we were told. The ride was a party bus! They let you connect to the bus to play your own music and they have wifi on board. There's also alcoholic drinks, sodas, and water on board (all included). The staff was amazing, they were caring and you could tell they enjoy what they do. We had a great time! The waterfalls were amazing, but beware there is a 40 minute hike involved (it's all uphill). Best experience!

We booked this excursion on our recent virgin voyages cruise. We saved a fair bit of money booking without the cruise line and I don't feel like we missed out on anything. Our tour driver was Jose and our guide up the hike was Jonathan. Both gentlemen were very nice and helpful throughout the excursion. They assured us we'd be back to port well before the ship left and we definitely were back with hours to spare. Going up the mountain we also had a young man by the name of Steven and an older man who was climbing and jumping the waterfalls with so much ease you'd forget he was likely in his 50s. His name was Flaco Mambo. Both of them were amazing as well. Steven and Flaco helped some guests that weren't the strongest swimmers when they jumped or slid into the water. The water was quite chilly. Probably 60⁰ F. But it was super refreshing. The hike up the mountain was moderate. It had rained the morning of our arrival so the ground was pretty muddy. Good slip resistant shoes or water shoes are a must here. Jonathan was also the photographer for our group and he always made sure to get good video or photos for all of us. If you chose to purchase the photos, it costs $45 which is more than reasonable. After the waterfalls we were treated to lunch and free beer and alcohol at the Tópice Gourmet restaurant in the heart of the city. The food was absolutely amazing. We were allowed to drink as much beer, coca cola, and vodka as we wanted hahahah. After lunch we took another trip to a Cigar making shop. We were taught about how long it takes from seeding to harvest to rolling the cigars. We were also given a sample cigar to puff on. We also tried a drink called Mamajuana. This is an aphrodisiac drink and it tastes great. Wish I would've bought a bottle to take home hahaha. If DSRR has other tours we will definitely book with them in the future. They were absolutely fantastic.
