Sosua Beach

We beginnen de tour vanaf het strand in Sosua, waar de bemanning en een 75 voet catamaran op je wachten.
Tijdens de ochtend krijgt u de gelegenheid om de onderwaterwereld van de Dominicaanse Republiek te ontdekken. We maken twee stops bij verschillende riffen, waar je kunt snorkelen of zwemmen en jezelf kunt verfrissen. Snorkeluitrusting en snorkelvest worden verstrekt.
Na het snorkelen zetten we het hoofdzeil op en varen langs de kust.

We booked the tour through the cruise ship.... over the two weeks we did 4 snorkel trip and this was by far the best. The crew was amazing....the snorkeling was great and so was the food!

Highly recommend. The staff are amazing. This excursion has something for everyone. For the active, snorkeling and swimming, for the partying spontaneous dancing under the awning, for sun worshiping nets below the sails, open bar (after snorkeling) lunch buffet and a gorgeous sail from Sosua to Ocean World in Puerto Plata. Alec will entertain you and multilingual Alain will guide you through. Just do it.

Immediately after booking, we got a text confirming our tour. We were picked up on time and it was a quick 30-40 mins to Sosua beach. They chartered everyone about 10 to 12 people at a time on a smaller boat out to the Catamaran waiting in the harbor. It is a slow process, but it wasn't terrible at all.

Once we got onto the Catamaran, we snagged an area over the netting. We were warned that we would probably get burned (and we did) but it was worth it! Once the boat gets going, being over the netting was amazing.

We stopped at 2 snorkeling sites. Both were awesome. They even let us jump off of the side of the Catamaran.

Then we sailed along the coast line while we ate, drank, and danced. The food was great, best food we had in the DR. The drinks were plentiful and Alex and several other employees were quick to grab you anything you needed.

My wife, my 3 teens, and I all thoroughly enjoyed the day. I highly recommend!

40th Birthday Celebration

We absolutely loved our trip! Very interactive, the food was good, the other tourist were super friendly and our host was amazing. My only con was that less people be on the boat. There was 74 people and although we “fit” there wasn’t enough room to sit in the shade and the nets. The entire staff was very attentive and was quick to help those that got sick, like myself. I would go again but with less people.
