27 Waterfalls of Damajagua
Después de reunirse con sus guías fuera de la Terminal de Cruceros de Amber Cove, abordará un vehículo con aire acondicionado para el viaje de 25 minutos a las cataratas. Una caminata moderada de 40 minutos cuesta arriba a través de un hermoso paisaje selvático te lleva a la cascada 12 o, si estás en excelente forma física, elige caminar hasta la cima de las 27 cascadas (aproximadamente 70 minutos) y experimentarlo todo. De cualquier manera, es donde comienza tu verdadera diversión cuando volvemos río abajo y saltas, te deslizas y nadas a través de una serie de espectaculares cascadas, cañones y piscinas azules, emergiendo con una sonrisa tonta en la cara y recuerdos increíbles para atesorar. ! El recorrido incluye saltos de hasta 25 pies (8 metros), pero no se preocupe, los grandes tienen otra forma de bajar si no quiere saltar. Una vez que baje en el primer otoño y después de tomarse su tiempo para relajarse en las increíbles aguas azules, ¡habrá una caminata de 15 minutos de regreso al centro de visitantes para almorzar y un merecido ron y coca cola!
Después de ponerse la ropa seca, disfrute de un delicioso y variado almuerzo buffet dominicano que incluye pollo y cerdo a la parrilla, guisos, arroz, pasta y ensaladas. Se incluyen refrescos y ron local (cerveza disponible pero no incluida). Después de la comida, se despedirá de los guías locales y abordará el transporte para el traslado de 25 minutos de regreso a Amber Cove. Our guide, Carlos, made the experience very memorable and exciting. He’s speaks English very well, so don’t worry about any language barriers.
He is also very friendly and down to earth. For example, Carlos and I chatted for awhile about a mountain biking which was a common interest. In other words, he was very welcoming and it made the waterfall jumping/sliding tour even better than we expected.
For the waterfall portion of the tour, we were with two other couples, so it was a small group which gave us plenty of time to enjoy to take videos/photos.
The van ride from the cruise port was scenic and quick. The facilities at the bottom of the waterfalls were very nice and maintained with showers and bathrooms to change into dry clothes.
If you do, bring a camera, make sure that it’s waterproof and has a some sort of leash to stay attached to you because you will be swimming in deep water for a short periods of time and there are other parts that could cause you to lose it. Also, if you need to wear glasses, use a strap to hold them on.
After the waterfalls, we had a delicious buffet lunch with a huge bottle of included rum

We loved the moderate hike up to the top and the thrilling jumping and sliding down waterfalls, as well as the fun but more calm time walking through river between waterfalls on the way down! Such a unique way to experience the beautiful surroundings. We also loved our tour guides- Carlos and Fernando! Very friendly, and they created a fun, easy, and stable setting to enjoy this excursion. Thank you for a wonderful experience to be in the nature, waterfalls, and beauty of Amber Cove.

Outstanding excursion! It starts with a bit of a walk to get outside the port area. Clear directions on the paperwork and plenty of friendly people to help out. The hike up the mountain was mild/moderately strenuous but they take breaks at appropriate intervals. The falls and slides were outstanding and the company staff and park people were great!

My husband and I went on a 10 day cruise and this was the highlight of our trip!!! This was by far the best excursion we have had over the years. Our guides- Chael and Felox from the park, and Carlos from Iguana Mama, we’re fantastic! And I cannot say enough about how much fun we had with them and how much the elevated our experience. It is higher on the scale for activity level, so be prepared to walk a little over a mile up hill and then jump off cliffs and walk through a small river. But it is beyond worth it! 20/10 recommend!

Loved the smaller-group waterfall excursion compared to the huge group trip offered through NCL. The number of waterfalls was reduced due to low rainfall, but it was plenty to have a great time with fun guides. Warning that there was about a 15 minute walk to get from the cruise ship to the van in Amber Cove.

We had an awesome time on this excursion. The zip line portion was way better than I expected, and we enjoyed zip lining in the rain. We enjoyed the sloths and monkeys as well. Guide took us to some great sites for pics. Lunch was great and relaxing.
Trip was amazing; Carlos the guide was even better!

This is a MUST DO! I cannot put into words how fun and breathtaking this experience is. The hike, waterfalls, slides and fun jumps were a blast and the scenery is spectacular. We are an active family of 5 with kids 14, 13 and 11 and it was a huge success with everyone. However, what made the trip even better was our guide Carlos! We had a stressful morning getting off the ship and Carlos not only waited patiently for us in the van, he was so kind and energetic. If you do a waterfall tour, do not go anywhere else!!!! I would recommend wearing sneakers, not aqua socks.

I love doing the waterfalls this is my second time I wish there been more water so we could do more of the Falls the guides were great the water is wonderful and the food is delicious

What an experience ! Even after that crazy hike up. I am so glad that I did it!
